What do you see
What do you see shapes your faith and identity. Discover how your view of God transforms your life, breaks cycles, and leads you to truth.
The Lens You Live Through
“What do you see?” is more than a question—it’s a diagnosis of the heart. The way we see God determines everything: how we relate to Him, how we understand ourselves, and how we live day to day. If we are not mindful of the Kingdom, we cannot live the Kingdom way. Our perspective shapes our reality. The God we see is ultimately the God we experience.
Knowing God, Not Just Scripture
As James Merritt insightfully puts it, the primary reason for reading the Bible is not simply to know the Bible—but to know the God of the Bible. Scripture is not the destination; it is the pathway. When we reduce faith to information, we miss transformation.
Perception Shapes Experience – What do you see
“The God you see is the God you get.” This truth is both sobering and empowering. If we view God as distant, we will live distant. If we see Him as loving, present, and faithful, we begin to live in that reality. Our perception of God directly affects our reception of Him. Even how we see ourselves is rooted in how we see Him.
Praise in Every Season
It’s easy to praise God when life is going well. Gratitude flows naturally when prayers are answered and circumstances align. But real depth is revealed when life becomes difficult. Praise in hardship is not denial—it is declaration. It says that God is still good, still present, and still working, even when we cannot immediately see it.
Breaking the Cycle – What do you see
We often live in cycles: A trigger sets things off, We fall back into familiar responses, The result is disappointment, We reset with hope for change, Then repeat the same pattern. But Jesus does not merely address symptoms—He transforms systems. He doesn’t just tackle the issue; He breaks the cycle at its root. Our struggles are not wasted—they become platforms where we can witness God move powerfully and differently.
Living in Spirit and Truth
Jesus invites us into something deeper. He removes unhealthy foundations and replaces them with living truth. When we truly encounter Him, we discover that He satisfies in a way nothing else can—“we will never thirst again.” To live fully, we must align with both Spirit and truth. This means surrendering our perceptions, allowing God to redefine how we see, and choosing to live from that new vision every day.
