Jesus Is The Daddy
When we say “Jesus is the Daddy,” we’re pointing to the truth that Jesus models perfect love, leadership, and protection—qualities associated with a good father.
A Father’s Heart in a Savior’s Hands
When we use the word Daddy, we’re speaking not just about responsibility, but intimacy. Children don’t call a father Daddy unless they feel safe, close, and loved. Jesus invites us into that kind of closeness. In fact, Romans 8:15 says that by the Holy Spirit, we cry out, “Abba, Father.” That’s the ancient Aramaic word for—yep—Daddy. Jesus taught us to know God not as a distant deity, but as a loving, approachable Father.
Jesus, the Everlasting Father
In the Gospels, we see Jesus leading His disciples with wisdom and love. He welcomed children. He wept with the grieving. He rebuked with gentleness. He laid down His life for those He loved. There is a reason Jesus is the daddy.
Jesus Invites Us into the Family of God
Through Jesus, we become part of the family of God. And every Father’s Day, we can celebrate not only the blessing of earthly family, but the eternal family we’ve been adopted into—because of His love.
Honoring Jesus with Our Lives
While it’s good and right to celebrate earthly fathers, let’s also lift our eyes higher this Father’s Day. Let’s honor the One who will never leave us, never fail us, and never stop loving us—Jesus Christ, our Savior and our spiritual Father.
Happy Father’s Day, Jesus
You have been a rock in my life, and I dedicate this post entirely to your name. You always do so much, and no number of words can express how truly how great a father and God you are to your children. Remember to rest once in a while 🙂
