Do People Eat Your Fruit
People are known by their “fruit” (actions and character) in the Bible, as seen in Matthew 7:16-20 and Galatians 5:22-23. Do People Eat Your Fruit
Symbolism of Tree
Fruit does not just pop into thin air. Typically, it would grow from a tree. In this illustration, if it is an apple tree, then there would be all kinds of apples growing, not just the one. Some will be sweeter or bitter depending on the life cycle and season the apple is in. God is the tree and Jesus is like the branches that stem of where we now produce fruit.
What Is My Fruit
Your fruit is a special gift you have, and everyone has one. Some people have the ability to calm and sooth others with their dialogue. Others can build faith and empower others to conquer a mountain they are facing. Some have the gift of prophesy and can reveal God’s mysteries. Some have great influence and can impact many people. Perhaps you are good with numbers and can calculate impoosible figures. Take time to find your fruit
Who eats from fruit
Everyday you interact with people. It is like them walking past you and taking a bite of your fruit. When people eat your fruit, are you impacting people in a good or bad way. How many people have been drawn to the tree (God) through your fruit. The same way you would not want to eat rotten fruit is the same way God would like to bear good fruit.
Reflect
Take time to think of your special gifts and how you can use them for God’s purpose. Perhaps you have fruit you can strengthen or you are willing to tap into a new flavour. Challenge yourself to be a good-tasting fruit.
