There Is No Fear When God Is Here

Jesus in middle of sea reaching hand out to you

There Is No Fear When God Is Here

We allow our fears to grow instead of allowing Jesus to shrink them. Take the opportunity to give your mountain to Jesus and watch it shrink over time. There Is No Fear When God Is Here

What is Fear?

An unpleasant emotion or thought that you have when you are frightened or worried by something dangerous, painful, or bad that is happening or might happen

What Is anxiety

Feelings of fear, dread, and uneasiness that may occur as a reaction to stress.

Difference Between Fear and Anxiety

Fear is a response to an immediate and real threat, while anxiety is often a more prolonged emotional state related to perceived or potential threats, sometimes without a clear and immediate danger.

What Are My options

You can decide to run away or face it head-on. We should be careful not to test God when approaching this. For instance, it would not be wise to jump into a swamp infested with crocodiles and expect to come out of it alive. Constantly thinking about a problem has a way of magnifying it and making it appear bigger than it is. Focus on Jesus when the fear/anxiety kicks in and it will highlight how small the problem is. Now it is easier said than done and every challenge requires its own approach but we have assurance that Jesus conquered the world so he can conquer our fears.

One Step Forward Is Better Than No Steps

You have a public speaking event coming up and the thought of speaking in front of an audience has you petrified. Perhaps you didn’t budget properly and an expected letter came in the post that has your mind running nonstop. Maybe that exam is the make or break in your career/business and your mind is flooded with thoughts. Jesus prayed when fear came and that gave him the strength to face the unthinkable. Jesus was giving us a framework to follow. Sometime you can face your mountain head on but othertimes we may need a helping hand from Jesus.

Action To Take

Open your fears to Jesus. He already knows about it, you just have to let him in to help you with whatever it may be troubling you. It might taken one encounter or multiple attempts but Jesus is always there to receive you and give you a hand.

Bible Verses

Psalm 34:4-5 – I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.

Psalm 27:1 – “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
